Every Christmas, we create a plush giftable stuffed animal inspired by one of the world's endangered species with a portion of the proceeds donated to a charity to ensure the conservation of that animal's habitat. Since 1990, hundreds of thousands of pounds have been donated to recipients such as The World Wildlife Fund, Sera Wildlife Conservancy and the Gorilla Conservation Programmes.
Since 1998, we've donated over $320,000 (£163,265) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation supported by the sale of select products during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Since 2005, we've donated $150,000 (£76,530) from the sale of Origins Nourishing oil for body & massage to The Integrative Therapies Programme for Children with Cancer at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. The programme provides children with cancer with an array of non-invasive methods-including yoga, aromatherapy, massage and herbal consultations-to help improve their quality of life as they undergo chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
Since 2005, we've helped raise over $1,000,000 (£510,204) for Project Sunshine - a nationwide hospital programme that cares for children with cancer, AIDS and other medical challenges. In addition, The Origins Oasis Programme at Project Sunshine gives parents the tools to relax and develop a support system with other parents in similar situations. And scores of Origins volunteers visit hospitals every month to provide parents with wellness services.
Since 2006, Dr. Andrew Weil has donated over $450,000 (£229,591) from royalties from sales of Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins™ products directly to the Weil Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting integrative medicine through training, education and research.
