Purl or plain? Reverse or ribbed? Garter or stocking? Whatever your stitch you too can be part of Origins Ginger Knits! Help to raise money for Shelter and keep everyone warm and cosy this Christmas by knitting some mini woolly scarves for Origins Ginger Essence™ bottles.
This Christmas Origins will be donating £1 from the sale of every Ginger Essence™ Sensuous skin scent to the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. For more information on Shelter please visit www.shelter.org.uk.
Knitting is cool. No longer just your granny’s favourite past-time, knitting is now a trendy way to pass time on the tube, socialise after supper with friends and even help you to relax and de-stress after a busy day. Even celebs have been knitting like crazy. Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Kate Moss and even Russell Crowe are known knitters.
So grab your knitting needles and follow these simple instructions:
• Choose your favourite Christmas themed wool (red, green or gold) – the brighter the better and get your knitting needles ready.
• Start by stitching across for four and then knit 40 rows down.
• Make your scarf stand out by adding your own personal touch – with glitter, tassels, patterns etc.
• Once your scarf is ready pop it in the post addressed to: Origins Ginger Knits, 73 Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 3BQ. (Please post your scarves as soon as they are ready and no later than 20 November 2007).
